I feel so conceited always talking about myself on my blog, but this time I can't help it because Christie is making me do it. I know I've been tagged before, but I just wanted another reason to tell everyone how amazing I am. You can't help it if someone forces you to...

What I was doing 10 years ago?

I was a chubby, rosey cheeked 16 year old who liked to make and wear her own hemp jewelry. I got my drivers license on my Bday so I could cruise around Roseburg in my delux '79 BMW that never stopped burning oil or breaking down at inopportune times. My lips were virgin, my hair was virgin, I hadn't had anything pierced yet and I was pretty normal. Not much has changed. As you all saw, I got my first kiss on New Years and while I have messed with my hair a bit, all the piercing have been removed.

5 Things on my "To-Do" List Today

1. Lose 15 lbs.
2. After I eat my last dessert
3. Study for my test tomorrow on multi-vibrators (I'm laughing with you)
4. Workout
5. Get to bed early

3 Bad Habits I have

1. I pick my nails and the sound bugs the crap out of everyone
2. I procrastinate everything
3. When I don't like something I just ignore it, ie. when things are falling off my car or if I don't want to pay a bill. I pretend like it's not there.

Things most people don't know about me

1. My shoulders are double jointed and I can jumprope with my arms.
2. I had to wear shoes with corrective bars when I was a baby.
3. I had a lisp and couldn't pronounce my r's and went to speech therapy (Resource) until I was in 6th grade.
4. I saved a life once.
5. I've always wanted to get shot just for the story.
6. I've never seen Star Wars.
7. Or Lord of the Rings
8. I am a professional wood carver (only because technically I've been paid for my work).
9. I'm just as insecure as everyone else.
10. I can never have enough adventure in my life.

Because of my constant need for adventure, I signed up for the Army Combative Training. Since I'm on a DOD base we have Army, Navy and Marine barracks here and the Air Force doesn't provide any kind of combative (hand to hand combat) training but the Army requires it and a few weeks ago I heard another airman talking about signing up for the tournament. I asked around and found out that I could join but I had to get some high risk activity briefings on it and some signatures so it took me a little while to get it all done. Everyone seemed reluctant to let me do it but they had no choice because of equal opportunity crap so I start class on Tuesday! I'm totally scared and know I'm going to get my butt kicked, but I'd rather get it stomped in training than if I had to really defend myself and get seriously hurt instead. Hopefully nothing too bad will happen but I'd be lieing if I said I secretly didn't want to post a picture of me with a black eye.

Amy, I happen to know for a fact that that statement was untrue. For Carrie's sake I will not publish the story on her blog, but as I recall it was very quick but to the point...and it was in the 6th grade.

Carrie also once saved me from a beaver.

Carrie, I had no idea that we had Star Wars Virginity in common. But I grew up in Canada where the only movie we watched in the '80s was Strange Brew... so I'm not sure how you escaped.

Ha ha thanks Carrie for sharing. All I could think about when you talked about your car breaking down was that time in the taco bell drive thru when we had to push the car and Krista wouldn't get out!

Where can one purchase these "multi-vibrators"?

Dear Amy & Lindsay,
I was kind of a VL at 16. I didn't make out with anyone until I was 17. Lindsay definitely knows about that one...
Dear Christie,
I also remember the car incident fondly and will always relive the moment that I turned into Satan and scared Krista out of the car. Haha. The Beamer was an integral part of our lives.
